Philosophy
La Menara Landscape Design Studio was conceived in 1999 and commenced work with a team of landscape gardeners and engineers based at our studio in Marbella, in southern Spain. Working to our philosophy of applying functionality, sustainability and aesthetics to every project, we have created unique gardens and landscapes for clients located throughout Europe and in Morocco.
We are specialists in building attractive green spaces for both the public and private sectors that are innovative, environmentally sound and tailor-made for each individual customer. The La Menara portfolio is extensive and covers projects created in a variety of settings, from luxury villas and boutique hotels to the grounds of public housing developments.
La Menara is a second generation family business that employs a professional team including architects specialising in garden design for private properties. Our company ethos of personalising each individual project is a key factor in working successfully with any client looking to enhance their home with very specific personal requirements.
Our corporate, private and community enterprises are undertaken by skilled commercial landscapers who approach each garden design to suit its particular function and environment – a diverse range that has included parks, sports facilities, marinas and public baths, to name a few.
Our concern for sustainability and the general environment governs every La Menara design, and each assignment starts with an analysis of nature, landscape and space in order to optimise the results of our designs. Using this process we can fully understand the area before us, enabling the creation of harmonious, intuitive and original gardens.
Oscar Vázquez Moó – Founder and Director

Professional career: starting in 1985, Oscar’s work has covered the design and build of numerous hotels, residential urbanisations, green community zones and private villas.
